Don’t poke the bear

An unexpected encounter with a grumbly Creative Director might ruin an otherwise glorious day. Keep your CD at bay by keeping these pet peeves in mind.

  • The Reliant logo is black, white or full color
  • The logo cannot be a design element
  • No positive “vomitorium” – don’t use “the positives” in our logo to fill space
  • No starbursts
  • Use infographics to explain complex information instead of using a lot of words

  • No posed images or bad acting
  • Prefer candid or natural shots
  • Content is key – and the individuals within photos should be age and regionally appropriate
  • No armpits!
  • No steam/smoke coming from power plants
  • No overused images – this changes over time, but if everyone is using it, find something else
  • No people in Reliant-related service uniforms
  • No negative images (e.g. people repairing a broken product)
  • No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances

Fonts and text

Type should be legible and appropriate; avoid using:

  • Italics
  • Title Case In Headlines
  • Centered text
  • Force-justified text
  • Improperly spaced bullets
