Keeping it custom

At Reliant, we strive to make custom photography a cornerstone of our marketing efforts. Along with being “ours,” custom imagery can help Reliant meet strategic communication goals with clear visual purpose and laser-targeted precision.

When a project calls for it, we build in the time, budget and talent required to produce outstanding original imagery that is both uniquely and powerfully reflective of the Reliant brand.

While directing original photography (or any original artwork) can be exciting, it can also come with plenty of caveats related to rights, usage, talent, location and the like. We expect that in-house Reliant marketers, outside partners, vendors and suppliers adhere to our company’s requirements surrounding original photography.

People power

At Reliant, we help power, protect and simplify busy lives for generations to come. So it stands to reason that people are usually featured in our images. While there are important distinctions among our customer segments, we should remember first and foremost that people are people. Whether at the kitchen table, in the office or aside the campfire, the folks in our photos should be approachable, relaxed and convey an air of spontaneity.

Beyond the lens

Along with adhering to our four fundamentals of photography, original or stock photos that exhibit some additional “nice to have” characteristics can be especially engaging.

Saturated color
Best when balanced with areas of “visual quiet”

High contrast
Adds drama and helps images pop off the page or screen

Shallow depth of field
Directs a viewer to a photo’s focal point

Unexpected composition and cropping
Because ordinary usually means boring[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
